SCRIPTURE READING: 1 CORINTHIANS 15: 40-41
FOCUS: “There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.” (1 Corinthians 15: 41)
MEMORY VERSE: “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” (John 15: 2)
It is instructive to observe that the same sun that could be harsh in its raw form, also has the potential to generate solar power. The same sun that could cause damage to the skin could be harnessed to create energy that could light up the environment. So in its raw form, the sun may not do more than just shining; but when harnessed, more value that is not available in its raw form will come forth. Harnessing the sun’s potential is key in making it effective and resourceful.
Friend, as you navigate through 2023 as a burning and shining light, do well to harness the potentials that God has planted in you. Go beyond your raw form and dare to become more than your basic self. Harness your skills so that you can make more impact. Ask God to harness you so that you can be useful to your generation. You may need to stop giving yourself accolades and start seeking how you can be more with all you have in you.
You may need to look inwards and figure out how your potentials can be harnessed to make you become more. You may need to ask people around you to give you genuine feedback on the areas of your life that are too raw to make impact. Find a way to convert your potential to impact and relevance. Make a commitment to convert your skills and abilities into results that will serve your generation. Drop the weaknesses that want to drop you.
In 2023, let God cut off the parts of you that are hindering the greatness that should manifest through you. Let God take away your anger. Let God take away your weaknesses. Let God take away everything that is standing in the way of the achievements that heaven has destined that you will achieve. Let God cut off the branches in you that are not bearing fruits, so that the truly productive branches can bear more fruit.
Don’t be counted amongst those who had so much to offer but did not allow their raw form to be put under control. Don’t miss out on impact because of your raw form.
